New Nymph Skin colours... |

New 'match the hatch' colours of Nymph Skin are to be added to the 3mm range of colours this October 2010. The new colours have been tested by Steve Thornton at his tying bench and on rivers in the UK, Europe and America. The NEW colours are to imitate the natural colours of; Hydrosyche (caseless caddis larva like the Rhyac) called Dark Tan. Midge Red to imitate Chironomus annularis (midge Larva) and Caddis Grey to imitate Caddis pupa. Steve will post some new images of these patterns over the next few weeks. New Listen to the River Chapter Downloads |

New addition to the downloads - The Ammonite Nymph. Steve Thornton's signature pattern. This version is the revised tying. It has less materials than the first version in volume 1 and is easier to tie. It displays better translucency and can be tied in a variety of colours by using Flexibody . The Ammonite Nymph is a recognised pattern for catching fish worldwide, by flyfishers world wide. (see image on right).

Updated Caddis Wings. |

 Yellow Olive Great new colours are now available. Yellow Olive, Light Tan, Mottled Tan and Mottled Grey. Our Caddis wings are still made with silk so they do not spin your leader when casting. IMPORTANT NOTE: Sadly Mitsubishi who made the raw silk for this product have now decided to discontinue with production, so sadly this great product is now unavailable.
